Working & No Blog Time

For those that do follow me, thank you so much for all the support and comments.  I really do appreciate any and all support of my blog.  With that said, I am so very sorry for the lack of posts.  I recently got the opportunity to work on the party planning side of things, and I am so excited that I get to do this.  I hope to be able get into party planning as a full/part time job some day soon, and for this party to be a success would be so amazing.  I have been working very hard to make it cute, and I hope everyone loves it.  I am going to try to post some images after the party is over.

So, due to the lack of posts and me not doing anything I can really post about the past couple of weeks, I decided that I would start to share at least 1-2 pictures of cakes that I have done once or twice a week.  That way, I can at least get something posted and maybe not lose all of my wonderful followers. :-)  Now, without further ado, here is the first cake of this week.

Please excuse the image quality of all of my cake pictures.  I am normally in a hurry and taking them with my crappy cell phone!!!  I have absolutely no photography experience or talent whatsoever.

Today, I decided to just start with the cake that I am currently using as my blogger profile image.  It is a variation of a cake that my client found over at Cakes By Sam.  I really didn't do the original cake justice, but with the color changes, I think it turned out pretty cute.  Also, that was my first time making any of those elements, all of which were hand made by me, as with all my cakes.  I had a ton of fun doing this cake, but those little boots were a pain! 

If you have any questions on what I use (recipes, fondant, tools etc.), or if you would like for me to share any more details or do some tutorials, please let me know.  I will be glad to answer any questions.
